Tbh it's a little hard to tell because all the photos are being taken from different directions and angles.
It would have been better if you have the small and the regular side on the same hand (so each on a different finger on one hand) to do a side-by-side comparison.
Or take 2 separate photos of the same hand with different rings, but in the same position/angle.
From these photos, I can't tell that well, but I feel neither of them look bad, it's just a matter of preference.
From personal experience, while I too have short fingers, and took like a year to decide between the small and regular size (I wish I kept my photos, I posted them somewhere here on TPF) I ended up going with the regular size.

I do agree that it’s hard to tell by these photos. I should’ve planned it better. I’m leaning towards the classic size, Just not sure which finger to wear it.
