I'm thinking of getting the trinity ring with diamonds as a replacement for my wedding band. According to the website, the price here in the US is $11,550  (plus 9.25 tax in CA!).
Anyway, my parents are in France and my hubby's going to London next week. So, I'm wondering if I can save some money buying from either one of these countries. Any one out there happens to know the price of this ring in London or Paris?

TIA!

The price for this Trinity ring in Paris is 9,000+ euros - as of 2 weeks ago, when I was at the C boutique.

9,000 euros is about USD12,000 but if your parents buy in France they can get the VAT refund which knocks off about 12-15% from the retail price, so still cheaper to buy in France.

Thank you Leah for the info!
So, I actually got some prices from the Cartier website of each country and it looks like UK has the best price right now. Here are the prices I got, in case anyone wants to know (keep in mind these prices are before VAT refund).

France is 9100 euros, about US$12200
UK is 7650 pounds, about US$11745

I also called Cartier duty free at Heathrow and their price is 6510 pounds, but they don't have the ring in stock and it'll take at least 2 weeks for special order. By then, my husband will be back already
It looks like my best bet is buying from Cartier in London and getting the VAT refund. Now I just need to convince my hubby to take some time off from his busy schedule:graucho:

do you still have the number for Cartier Duty Free in Heathrow? I want to call and ask them a price of a ring - thanks!

I have the number for the one on terminal 3. I believe there's also a cartier boutique at terminal 4 and 5. Look up Cartier's or Heathrow's website for the other numbers. Good luck on your search!

Picking up on this old thread...I am interested in buying the solitaire 1985. I'm in London- but my other half frequents NY fairly often. Given the currency difference, would it be better for me to buy in NY?

Any advice appreciated.
