Cartier to launch a new line...Paris Nouvelle Vague

Hi there,

I've just learned that Cartier is about to launch a new line on 1st June: Paris Nouvelle Vague.

What do you think about it? From what I understand many other pieces will be available from 2000 € to above 500 000 €...

This isn't a new line per se- Paris Nouvelle Vague originally came out in 1999. I distinctly remember seeing that ring before - I think they called it perruque (wig). I don't remember the other pieces though, so maybe they are relaunching it with new items? Interesting.

I might be in a minority here but I don't like them. I don't see anything unique. My sister used to own a plastic ring that looks exactly like the one that has many small balls 15 years ago!

Not very keen. The original collection has that ring in yellow good which my SA bought. I have the matching necklace somewhere in my safe. Would see what the collection includes but thanks for sharing!

This is not a 100% new line, there was already one called Nouvelle Vague launched in 1999, but I understand that they are launching a lot of new pieces to complete the original line.

To be honest I'm not a fan, but in a way that's good news...I don't need new temptations while I'm saving for a Love bracelet

Yup, I remember seeing that ring with the waterfall of beads before and also on ebay.

The other styles, I'm not feeling. From the pictures it's hard to get a sense of luxe. They look very plastic/lego/machined, not very much Cartier-elegance. They remind me of Transformers (yes, the robot toys).

I think I'd need to see them in real life first.

I like the bracelet, but the other pieces are not screaming Cartier to me... I wold expect something more unique.

hey !I saw the new collection the other week because it was launched in dubai where I live..my favorite piece is the "wig ring" which is a re-edition of the one made in 1999, but as far as I know it is the only piece they are re-making..they have seven different lines, the "mischievous" one is really something..not so impressed by the others..nothing compared to the deco pieces inspired by gatsby just launched by Tiffany !
