I think it's closer to the price quoted by @frankie444 though. I have an alligator strap with deployment fastening but it came with the watch, so maybe it's more with different mechanisms.

Hm in my opinion, I think the price is a bit high. I have a Tank Louis that was purchased for right around $5,500 usd (it was a gift). I took it to Cartier to inquire about a new strap and they told me it was 6 years old. They told me it was $200 for a new alligator black strap. I think you should keep looking.
