Hello,

I’m looking to get a quality leather strap watch. I’m between the small Cartier Tank Louis (on a black strap) or a vintage Patek Philippe Gondolo 4824. Both are about the same dimensions. I have the stainless steel Tank Francaise already, so not sure if adding another tank is overdoing it. Any watch lovers? Would love some advice. Thank you

Both watches look great and are very classic so I don't think one really triumphs over the other.
Honestly I think it's a matter of preference in brand and design.

The biggest visual difference (besides the color of the straps) is probably the numbers. Do you prefer regular numbers or roman numerals?
Since you have a Tank Francaise, which has roman numerals, do you want something a little more different or the same?

Normally I'm Team Cartier Tanks 100%. But those Breguet numerals on the vintage Patek are just stunning! I am a sucker for Breguet numerals. It's a really special font.

Since you already have a Tank Francaise, I'd go for the Patek. Both are beautiful though, and there's no wrong choice IMO.
