Cartier Tank Francaise or Tank Solo

I am trying to decide which of the above two watches to buy (also thinking about a BB but focussing on the tanks for the mo).

I would probably buy the large ss in either of them (poss the extra large in the Solo as I would prefer an automatic).

Which would be the better option? I can't figure out why the solo is so much cheaper.

of all the tanks, i prefer the anglaise as it's a hybrid of the francaise and ballon bleu. it feels and looks a tad more luxurious.

but if you have to choose between the solo or francaise, i'd go for francaise.

I would suggest trying both styles on if you have not already. I had my heart set on the francaise but ultimatley chose the solo because I just liked it better on my wrist after trying both on, it just seemed sleeker - and the bonus was I got save some money too since it was less than the francaise! Regardless both are great watches.

I love the look of the solo with the leather strap and gold! So classy!
