For those of you who own both rose gold and yellow gold love bracelets (or other Cartier jewelry), do you find that the rose gold one is more durable against scratches and daily wear and tear? Curious because I’ve read in general rose gold is a stronger alloy than yellow gold due to the copper content.

I don’t have any rose gold Cartier pieces (all my Cartier stuff is in YG) but when it comes to the LOVE bracelet, if you wear it everyday, it’s going to get scratched up (even if you are super careful). There is honestly no way to keep the bracelet pristine unless you either a) don’t wear it or b) wear a sweatband over it all the time but then you can’t see it and getting it would be pointless.

I don’t fully baby my Cartier pieces and when I knock it on things by accident, my heart does break a little (depending on how bad the scratch/dent is) but ultimately you should just get it and enjoy it - don’t worry about the scratches. It’s such a lovely piece and after almost 10 years with my LOVE bracelet, I still love it and have no regrets buying it. Best money I ever spent as it brings me so much joy :)

I have a yg full bracelet and a rose gold cuff (purchased about a year apart) and I don’t notice any difference in one being more prone to scratches. The cuff might be a little less scratched but only because I do take it off at times and the full bracelet is always on.
I also have the trinity ring and all 3 rings look the same in terms of wear and tear ~ no ring (color) is better or worse.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your response! I actually just got the a brand new love bracelet in rose gold and already thinking about my next one

I was thinking about the 4 diamond one next but wasn’t sure between rose and yellow and I also heard someone say that rose is more durable so I was just curious if some people who had both had first hand experience to share :) I don’t really plan to baby it and go to far measures to avoid scratches
