I went into Cartier to purchase the YG Love ring and needed to get sized. The 58 slid smoothly over my knuckle, but once it was down on my finger, it was pretty loose. Turning and moving quite a bit and I know that would drive me crazy. I then tried the 57 which needed to get pushed over the knuckle, but once it was down it seemed much better. So I purchased the 57.

I like how it seems very secure because in no way can it get over my knuckle on its own. The ring can turn and has enough room. What I have noticed is that in the mornings my fingers are a bit swollen and the ring is slightly uncomfortable then. I had to tug and twist to get it over the knuckle this morning to take it off. Maybe just don't sleep with it on? I'm also a bit nervous for the summer months and any future weight gain I may have.

I had my SIL look at it yesterday and she said it seems perfect. What do you think?

First time posting pics from the app...hope it works!

It's lovely, and looks great on you, but I'd be worried about being able to wear it in the summer, too. If it were me, I'd get the next size up, and in the winter, maybe wear a thin guard ring with it.

First of all congratulations! It's such a great ring. On these pics the size looks perfect. I wear my rings nonstop and also have my fingers a little swollen in the morning, but I couldn't wear a size bigger cause it would be too loose. Generally I wouldn't change the size and just took time to get used to it.

I have the same situation as you with my ring but I decided to get one size smaller so during the summer I would wear it on my ring finger and during winter I'll wear it on my middle finger.

Your rings are going to flux several times within a day, let alone a year. If it's comfortable for the majority of the time, you should be ok. But if it is SUPER uncomfortable in the morning either don't sleep in it, or maybe go get a larger size.

I also debated between 2 sizes and decided to get the bigger one because of the summer months. I'm glad I did, but it was annoying 3 months during the year when it's winter and my ring is loose. But I guess the majority of the year I'm ok with it.

I have the same problem, whenever I wear a ring to sleep my finger is swollen in the morning. As a result I always take all my rings (including my wedding band) before going to bed...but no problem during the summer, my fingers don't swell.

Everybody's different, your finger may or may not swell during summer. It's up to you to decide if you feel comfortable wearing this ring. If your finger really gets swollen you may have to put it away for a few weeks/months depending where you live...

By the way, I have that ring and wear it very regularly. It may feel weird the first times you wear it because of the width and the shape but you soon get accustomed to it. It's a beautiful ring.

My panther jumps (hehe) between two adjacent fingers all throughout the day sometimes. It's so hot today and my hands are swollen so it's perfect on the smaller of the two fingers. But all winter long, it usually hung out on the other finger.

Thanks everyone for your advice! I haven't been wearing the ring much because I want to prevent scratches in case I decide to swap it for the 58.

I think over the next few days I'll get into the routine of wearing it throughout the day, but taking it off before bed. In the morning I'll shower, get dressed and walk the pup before I put on the ring. If it's comfy then I'll just keep it.

I want to make a decision soon so I can fall in love with the ring already! It doesn't feel mine just yet because of the possibility I may exchange.

I have same problem with my WB (same width as the love ring) but once i took it off at night it's ok. It's because of your finger swollen during the night when you sleep with your ring on, without it no problem put it on in the morning. It works for me, hope it might help.
