Serpenti is beautiful! Just keep in mind that you would more likely expect to get a lot less of your money back if you decide to re-sell the Serpenti than if you did Cartier - if that doesn't affect your decision at all I'd go with the Serpenti.
Between these two options I definitely prefer the serpenti. I just tried it on a couple of weeks ago and it’s truly gorgeous. It also stands very well on its own whereas I think the thin pave love works better in a stack.
