Cartier Panthere steel & gold vintage vs new

Hi ladies! I need your help! I am contemplating buying a vintage Cartier watch (similar to one on the red pouch). But to me the vintage steel looks much darker than the newer steel (the photo with the diamond bracelet). Is it the photos? Have you seen both a vintage and a new one in person? What are your thoughts?

It's most likely the lighting on the photos.

I have a panthere TT that I got last year in November.

That color for the YG on the 1st photo is definitely too light; likewise same for the stainless steel part on the 1st photo.

Thank you! I haven’t seen the vintage one in person so I was worried the steel is much darker.

in vintage panthere steel has more satin finish, in new one- more polished

The colours on the vintage strap are inverted so maybe that's why the colour seems darker?
I love both but would probably go for the newer version
