Cartier panthere diamonds or no diamonds?

This is going to be one of my 30th birthday presents from my fiancé and I’m debating whether it’s worth it to spend extra on the diamonds or rather use the price difference to pick up a few more things on my wishlist/ jewelry.

They are both stunning and I really like how the watch looks on my wrist, of course diamonds are always nice to have but I feel it’s still just as beautiful without and maybe a bit more wearable in casual situations without. That being said I don’t want to regret my decision later.


What do you think I should go for?


Option 1: no diamonds.medium size


Option 2: with diamonds.medium size.?$4,450 price difference.




Any advice?

Both look beautiful on you. Choose the one you can’t stop thinking about. I had the smaller SS version with diamonds and it was very subtle. Both are good options for a daily watch.

I vote no diamonds because I agree it is beautiful and classic without.
That said, I don't mind diamonds for casual.

I have gold with diamonds so 100% with diamonds. The sparkle is very subtle and can be worn casually.

I was deciding between the medium SS w/ diamond bezel vs the medium TT gold and SS w/o diamonds. I ended up with medium TT gold and SS no diamonds to go with my gold jewelry more. I do love diamonds quite a bit, but I also wear diamond rings on a daily basis so I felt for my everyday pieces, no diamonds on my watch was okay.


I think for a full SS watch, the diamonds give it that extra touch that makes it stand out in a beautiful (but not super flashy) way.

IMO, there is plenty of time to get a watch with diamonds especially if you have other things on your list

I chose the diamond bezel as I like that nothing scratches diamonds. Also, it is just prettier!
