Cartier Love Pave or Tennis Bracelet? Help me choose

Hello all,

I am thinking of getting either a Cartier Love Pave in white gold OR a 10-12 ct round tennis bracelet. I do have both a yellow and white Love already but wanted something with bling to wear alongside them. My dilema stems from the fact that I don't think I will get both so it's either one or the other.

Which one would you choose? I am leaning towards the tennis bracelet only because it is a classic and I do not have one. The Love although beautiful, is limited and not as "classic." In a sense, I will still feel like I am missing out on the classic tennis bracelet.

If it helps, I do plan on eventually getting a tennis necklace, which means it will pair nicely with the bracelet if I choose to go that option.

Any input that can help me decide?

I'm assuming you'll get the tennis bracelet from a local jeweler? (as opposed to a luxury brand).
Then, you'd get more bang for your buck for a tennis bracelet in terms of diamonds.

However, if you love Cartier and the Cartier Pave bracelet speaks to you more, then that's what I'd get. It's a unique piece that not many people have and I think it is stunning. It's just over priced for the amount and size of diamonds and gold.

I think they're both classic in their own right. Diamond tennis bracelets are a classic piece in general. The love bracelet is classic to Cartier.

That's def a good point. Cartier pave is classic to Cartier. I do plan on getting my tennis bracelet from a local jeweler which will help with the price immensely.

Do you think that one has more "bling" factor over the other when comparing the regular pave and a tennis bracelet is aprox. 10-12cts? I would prefer more bling if that helps!

If you were to wear either on their own, for a 10-12ct diamond bracelet, that is a pretty solid size and imo, the tennis bracelet would have more bling factor.
Cut, clarity, and color of the diamonds of the tennis bracelet does matter of course, but I'm assuming you're going for decent specs so they will definitely sparkle tremendously.
The Cartier love bracelet is pave diamonds, so they will also sparkle in their own way and are very beautiful but is not comparable to the combined brilliance of each diamond when on a tennis bracelet.

However, the bling factor may change relative to other jewelry and/or watches you decide to wear with the tennis bracelet or Cartier pave love bracelet.

Have you tried on both bracelets yet? I feel that really helps with decision making.

It sounds like you are leaning toward the tennis bracelet. You will definitely get more bling for your buck with a TB. That said, I have one and don't wear it often, it's not blingy, so that could be why, lol. I have always coveted the Pave Love. I think it is beautiful.

If I could only choose one, I'd go with the tennis bracelet. I have one that is 12 carats and I think it's fairly blingy (in a good way), and it goes with everything I wear and with any type of bracelet I stack alongside it. The diamonds look large on my wrist. I love the Cartier bracelet and it's actually on my list to purchase this year, but a tennis bracelet is such a classic piece.

I’d definitely try them on and see what you think. Take lots of photos and mull it over!

However- It sounds like you’re leaning towards the tennis bracelet. I think I’d choose the same! Especially if I knew I was getting one or the other.

For me, I'd definitely want the pave bracelet, especially in WG because it would just sparkle so much more than YG/RG. However, I personally think a tennis bracelet (especially with as much carat weight you're wanting) is so dressy and limited with how you wear it. For me, I'm a very casual person and wear jeans pretty much everyday (even at work), so a tennis bracelet of that caliber would be too much, but the pave in WG would be perfect! Go with what works for you, for me, the pave would work better.

Apples and oranges to me!
I loved my tennis bracelet before it was stolen, but I wore it with my watch. I'd stack a pave or wear it alone, and it's on my list, but they're truly such different aesthetics that I'm not sure I could compare. Both are on my list!

Both very different, so depends on how you’ll wear them. The pave love can be a beautiful sparkly addition to your existing stack that you can wear 24/7.
I don’t like the way the tennis bracelet rolls over and under the love bracelets, so I don’t ever wear it with the loves.

I own both TB & pave love (small). To me, I love my pave and it’s more special to me. I wore the TB on my left wrist up until I bought a watch (which I prefer to wear solo), so now my TB gets zero wear.
I mention this just in case you may relate…
Good luck with your decisions!

Thank you all for your input it's super helpful yet has made it harder to make a decision (in a good way LOL). I think I am leaning more towards the tennis bracelet only because I want a tennis necklace down the line but the pave bracelet is so unique. I think I may go into store to see how the regular Love stacks with the pave Love. I have read on here that they do not sit flush and that the pave is clearly a bigger bracelet, so that may drive me insane for something I plan to frequently wear...

You sound like you want the TB...I just bought the pavé Love and it is so beautiful I just love it  Agree with others, you will need to make the TB quite fitted or it will roll under and over your stack. I have one and never wear it for this reason (it isn't fitted). I wear my Loves together and whereas you are correct they have different thickness, they still stack nicely and will not overlap. (There is a debate on tpf as to whether classic and pavé are stackable). If you want some inspo on this - check out @Tempo - she has a GORGEOUS collection of pavé, classic, and diamond Loves stacked.

To me the pavé Love is such a special and unique piece, I would totally vote pavé over TB.IMG_1503.jpeg

If had this option, definitely I will get the Cartier pave love as not everyone have it, not common as a tennis bracelet. It definitely have the bling factor you are looking for not to mention classy, more sophisticated. The tennis bracelet you can always get anytime down the line but the Cartier Pave price only goes up. I will exchange my tennis bracelet over a Cartier pave in a heart beat!
