Hello all, I just received the Cartier love bracelet in pink gold with 4 diamonds. I bought it on ebay and the seller offered a 45 day money back guarantee for any reason. I am going to get it authenticated at Cartier(I would like to know if anybody has done that and how they went about it). I have also been to Cartier store to make sure I can study the hallmarks to tell if it is authentic or not.

Here are some pics of the bracelet that the seller used and I will post mine. Please advise if you think it is authentic.

Here are some of my pics...
I searched for the serial number on the web and google showed me a couple of results from 2013 with the same serial number but size 18 not 17. Should I be concerned. Here is what I am talking about
https://www.google.com/webhp?source...spv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=cartier love bracelet tb1052

The 4th 5th 6th and 7th results indicate a cartier love bracelet with 4 diamonds but size 18 not 17. Mine is size 17.

Please weight in and let me know if I should send it back.

I don't know how to authenticate Cartier jewellery as I have bought everything in the store, I wouldn't keep it unless I have it authenticated by Cartier (I don't know if they do authenticate?) and Im 100% sure is authentic, otherwise I would always be wondering if it is real or not, and thats a bit too risky.

I purchased my bracelet from a boutique in May 2013 and my markings are slightly different. I purchased in the US and I have the yellow gold w/ no diamonds.

When spending that kind of money I need piece of mind ~ if I were you and couldn't have it 100% authenticated I would definitely return it.

Thank you Celine4 and joja for your thoughts. I went to the Cartier store today and the Cartier SA told me everything about the bracelet, the box and the certificate seems real but the only way to know for sure is to send it in for polishing to Cartier. If they think it is a fake, they will confiscate it but that is the only way to know. I plan to let the seller know about thus and see what he says first before sending it to cartier.

I have considered buying preloved, too.
In the end I bought at the boutique.
I also need my peace of mind and so I decided to pay more but also don' t have to worry about authenticity.

The bracelet looks authentic to me, and the font of the engraved markings look good too however, there are plenty of very very good fakes out there and you literally can't tell the difference for some as the weight and all markings in terms of their order are exactly the same as an authentic one. I am a firm believer of always purchasing expensive jewelry and watches at the Boutique itself or Authorized Dealers.

I certainly would not want to save a few thousand dollars and not feel at ease whether the bracelet is authentic or not especially in your case with the bracelet costing a good $11,000 USD (retail after taxes). I have always saved up for my items and buy them at Boutiques and/or Authorized Dealers and try my best to get a discount from there. I strongly appreciate the craftsmanship and beauty that these bracelet portrays and paying the retail (and in some cases possibly getting a discount off it) is much more satisfying to me than buying one on the 2nd hand market, saving a few grand and trying your best to authenticate it. (Discounts CAN BE HAD on the Love and JUC collection if you are lucky enough to work with a friendly SA and ask about the purchase very sincerely. Cash payment is a very big plus too.)

The hallmark markings will be different in terms of their order, and also possibly the font for different years of production so it is very difficult to compare it with an authentic Love Bracelet

With that being said, I still have a sharp eye and am pretty good at spotting fakes and this looks like an authentic one in my opinion. Good luck! :)

When I bought my LOVE on the secondary market, I sent the pictures to Authenticate4u for authentication. They were able to tell me that the markings were consistent with an authentic bracelet and suggested just to make sure that I take it to my local jeweler and have it tested to be sure it is 18K. I did and it was.

With A4U's authentication, my jeweler's findings, and the seller's reputation, I have no doubt I have an authentic Cartier LOVE.

Thank you Arwen. I did extensive research before I went down this path including reviewing the hallmarks at the cartier store and I understand that I may have to return it and negotiated a 45 day return period. I feel it is authentic but I will definitely have it checked out by other

It look authentic me and it's gorgeous. If you are buying from a japan seller. It's authentic. ( IMO) coz they're very strict
With counterfeited brand
This is not from a japanese seller but seems like a reputed seller but thank you for your feedback.

The brand will not confiscate it unless it is STOLEN. If it is counterfeit then they will not work on it and simply send it back.
I have not yet called Cartier but I will today or tomorrow. Hopefully they can tell me how to proceed.

I agree that the hallmarks are going to be different from one to another in terms of the order. I checked out some loves at the cartier store and the markings were all in different order and the font seemed different as well. I will definitely call Cartier to find out how to move forward.

This is a great idea. I just reached out to them to see what they say. I will use this as well as talk to Cartier customer service to figure out how to move forward.

Thank you all for weighing in. I really appreciate it.
