At the price point of the pave love, I think it makes sense for it to be thicker and have more presence! I also think the locking mechanism (from what I can tell anyway) seems like it would be more secure on the original pave love. I love mine and think it stacks well with my plain love, even though they don’t lay 100% flush.

I loved that they weren’t perfectly flush. Perfectly imperfect.

The lock is so important on the regular love pave. Be able to take it off and put it on frequently/easily (given it’s a piece some of us might choose not to wear daily given our lifestyle) without worry of damaging the lock mechanism as well as knowing there is a double lock to keep it secure given the price point is so reassuring.

Well, this kind of solves the question of why the prices of pave love bracelets haven’t increased last month.

From the Cartier discussion thread, it seems like the new classics with hinges are also thinner. The new 4 diamond has smaller diamonds, and I can see it clearly here on these models’ picture below. The diamonds used to match the size of the screw motif. A tpf member weighed it and compared it to her mom’s two screws model, and it is indeed a bit lighter.

Looks like the medium size pave will be 2 ct, since this new pave classic model is 3 ct and the small pave is 1 ct. I wonder how that one will look and its price point.

The new pave classic does look interesting in this picture, and it looks very thin like the small pave love.

The depth of the original was pretty significant looking at the bottom angle of this picture compared to the rose gold on top - looking at the side toward the man’s wrist.

On the plus side, it is light weight. Some like the small love pave bracelet because of that. And more bling for sure.

I feel like the new pavé Love will be better for stacking, but less special as a standalone piece. The old pavé, on the other hand, felt more significant on its own but wasn’t ideal for stacking due to the difference in thickness.
I’m curious to see how popular the new release will be, and I can’t help but wonder why they changed the design after so many years and discontinued the old version.
On the US website, both versions are still available, but in many other countries, they’re not. I wonder what their strategy is.

Yes, @chareen correct the new hinge bracelets are thinner than the double screw bracelets. Therefore stacking the new pave with original double screw bracelet will still not = exactly flush stack. For that one would have to start over with hinge bracelets only.
May you explain by flush? Cuz the the old pave is so thick when put it next to my cuff and new classic hinge.

By flush, I mean the thickness of the bracelets is the same, so they stack evenly without differences in height. The original pave has always been thicker and hence not flush with any of the non pave Loves. The new pave is thinner and same thickness as the new hinge classic Love. So it will lay "flush" with it. In my post I was explaining that the new pave is thinner than the original double screw classic bracelets, hence it will not be "flush" unless stacked with new hinge classic bracelets.

Thank you for this.

It nvr bothered me if they were flushed or not. What mattered was what is on my wrist and my arm candy! So technical these days LOL 😂

Just went to Cartier and checked out the new pave LOVE, while both are equally beautiful and new one might be stack better than the original, but the new one is so thin, feel like it lost luxurious feeling. The one of the reasons I love pave love is that it is so sturdy and indestructible. I wear it everyday without worrying. But with new one, I probably will have to check it more often and I don’t trust the locking system like I do with the original. It would definitely make people who want perfect stack happy. But I am with the team imperfection perfection. Lol. Hope that help with people who are interested in both. And I was told once the originals are sold, they won’t be making any more. LOVE the loves. Lol
