I have been shopping for a bracelet and Love bangle is definitely the design I want. However I don't think I can wear it 24/7 - I take everything off minus a dainty necklace.

I've seen the cuff- But the bangle just looks better. (At this point why doesn't Cartier make a version that you can take off easily? not like it's difficult!) I am eyeing Clash, but love bangle still looks better lol I might buy a Clash to stack but I want the love first.

It seems a lot of ladies never take it off. Does anyone actually take it off pretty often? If I get one I think I will wear it for a week then take it off like a month. Does it break the bracelet if I do that? I am thinking of the 4 diamond bracelet so dropping 12k so I would like to figure this out before I invest.

Thank you ladies!

Hi! It's really not advised to take it on and off regularly. The screws are made of 18k gold and repeated removal/tightening will strip the threads over time. I'd suggest small Love or the cuff if you want something you can take off easily.

Cartier probably hasn't made the regular full bracelet that you can take off easily due to the history and significance of the piece. The fact that you're not supposed to remove it feels like part of the novelty

Hi not there same thing but have you checked out the VCA signature bracelet?

I have to say, not only is it not recommended to take the Love Bracelet on and off daily (it’s simply not designed for this) but it would also be super annoying. I couldn’t imagine taking mine on and off every day. It’s a task. It’s not super easy and you would have to be careful not to scratch it when you screw/tighten it. The more you take it on and off the more opportunities there is for it to scratch. Truthfully, the piece is prone to scratching anyway but some of the particularly bad scratches I’ve seen on this forum have been people trying to quickly remove it or put it on when running out of the house and getting frustrated or being rushed.

If for whatever reason you need to remove it daily, whether it be personal preference or lifestyle (work related), I would look into other pieces that might have a similar look but have a different locking mechanism that’s more convenient. Many times people have come onto this forum asking the same question, they like the look of the love bracelet but can’t sleep with jewelry or have a job that does not allow them to wear jewelry.

My best advice is to be honest with yourself. You know your lifestyle best, if you try to “force it” then you might end up selling it for a 30% loss or having it sit in your jewelry box for years collecting dust. Every time I’ve tried to “force” a piece that didn’t fit my lifestyle (but I liked the way it looked on other people) I realized it wasn’t practical over time and never gravitated toward it and eventually ended up selling it on the preloved market for a loss. Not just jewelry but also bags. Luxury jewelry IMO is not an investment, or at least a smart one anyone. There are exceptions to this of course but for the most part, the second you walk out of the store, material items devalue significantly. 12k is a lot of
money. You have to “love” it. I always tell people that these pieces are only as good as how much you wear them and enjoy them. Just my two cents. Good luck with your decision.

Like what others shared, I think for such costly purchase, the item should tailor to you, and not the other way round.

Of course yours is a dilemma to many, me included. After wearing my Classic love for ~ 3wks, I love it that it's on me 247 now.

If it's an absolute no on 247, the small love is a good choice. And I also love the Clash.

Thanks! I dont mean to take it off everyday. Perhaps I will put it on and off ten times a year? Given it’s not a daily thing I was wondering how the wear off is with the bracelet. And I do realize anything with a diamond will devalue like a car. VCA perlee? It’s not bad but also doesn’t really do it for me. Thanks for the advise!

Le sigh. It’s so pretty. I will walk into the store and see. I have an appointment next week! I searched high and low and I have yet to find anything in terms of looks I like more than the love. I will def look at the small love and clash! I think I am getting the clash ring anyway!

Oh, 10 times a year shouldn’t be a problem at all! I initially thought you meant taking it on and off daily.

I hope you enjoy your appointment and find the piece that works best for you. Love to hear what you ultimately decided on if you wish to share. Wear it in good health

To be honest, when I went into the Cartier store to try on the love bracelets. I was initially going for the small. I liked the convenience of taking it off and putting on by myself easily.
However, when I tried on the small love, it felt very underwhelming. Kind of like a "meh" feeling. :oh: Didn't give me that "wow-factor" or that happy feeling.
BUT, when I tried on the regular love. Wow, that was beautiful! And it looked right!:heart:

So, I had to re-think about the small vs the regular love. I definitely wanted the love bracelet as a staple piece in my collection. And I knew I would wear it often. I just was not sure if I was okay wearing it every day, and when sleeping, etc. Besides earrings, I've never really worn something on 24/7. Except, I do wear my engagement ring and wedding band without much thought, regardless of what I am doing.
I spent a good 3-4 months thinking about it.
And everytime I went to look at the photos of the small and the regular size of the love. My eyes and heart would always go to the regular size. And I knew that, that was the one. :P
Made an appointment with my SA, and when the regular love was on, I was so happy! Still brings joy whenever I look at it!

So, yes, that's my experience. lol

If you're not in a hurry. Try them on and take photos. Think about it a bit more. It's already past the price increase, so you definitely have time to think!

I just got my Love this year for Valentine's day and I had the same concern. The SA told me it's not meant to be taken on and off. I don't think you should take it on and off daily, but every so often should be fine. I wear it for weeks/months at a time, but I've also taken it off about 3 times now.

I actually spoke to a Cartier SA about this (potentially taking it off once a month) and she said that would be completely fine BUT that it is better to have someone help you take it on and off (less change of stripping the screws that way).

Thank you so much!! I am a white gold gal and I don’t like wearing stuff on 24/7 but I think I could get used to one bangle. But I heard about how WG tends to fade so I was thinking if I don’t wear it 24/7 for years perhaps it’d be ok that I get the WG with dismonds. Of course it’s entirely possible that I would end up with YG or RG lol Can’t wait for my appointment!
