Hi everyone. I am trying to decide between the Cartier Juste un Clou chocker and the Tiffany Knot chocker for my wife birthday and Valentine's present. Wife is a very classy girl and she really likes Kate Middleton's fashion sense. But she also has started to like bolder pieces, and the Tiffany Bonecuff has become one of her favorite to wear. Which piece would you go for? Which one do you think will be more of a daily wear?

Isn't she lucky to have you?! I really like the Tiffany's necklace (which surprised me b/c I haven't shopped Tiffany's in years)! It is a little more flashy though. What's her go-to wardrobe style - slacks and a button down? Or jeans and a sweater? Are you looking for an everyday piece or a special piece?

You answered - every day wear. I'd say more JUC then perhaps.

I'd say for everyday wear the JUC would be more appropriate, although I think the Tiffany necklace is gorgeous, but with the diamonds it would be too dressy to wear everyday. Your wife is very lucky!

I feel that the ends of the knot in the Tiffany necklace could stick out and poke the skin. I don't know because I don't have that piece or know anyone who has it. But depending on a person's collarbone and where the Tiffany necklace sits, based on how it looks, it could poke and feel uncomfortable.
I do know people who have the JUC necklace and they love it and find it comfortable.

Speaking as someone who buys both Cartier and Tiffany pieces btw. I don't really have much of a bias, expect maybe when it comes to price lol.

At the end of the day, if you're not sure, just take your wife "window shopping" and have her try them on. If she falls in love with one of them, then that's probably the one! :biggrin:

Jewelry is so personal. I don't let anyone buy me jewelry, as my taste is only my taste. IMO, JUC is way overdone. Why would anyone want to wear a nail around her neck? The price is obscene for what it is. The Tiffany necklace is slightly more interesting, but still, it's kind of predictable stuff. Does the end of the knot dig into the skin with certain movements? Does the collar spin around sometimes? She would have to try it on and see if it is comfortable and wearable. At that price point, I think it is best if you let your wife select what she wants.

I like your honesty here. I have to agree about the nail around the neck. I don't really get the JUC choker myself. And at that price point, I would really want to try it in store to make sure it's something I love and would wear.

What about the love necklace choker? I have never seen anyone wear this. It looks really pretty on the model!!

Thank you for the honest opinion. The more I looked at it and thought about it, the more I had to re-think it, and you may be right.

Thanks! I thought about the love necklace choker as well, but she has a love bracelet already, so I am trying to expand her potfolio (if that makes sense).

Yes, and the Tiffany seems to be very well-priced as well. I do wonder if it will be a permanent collection.

Thank you everyone for your response. I am open to any suggestions; ideally in the $15k range and looking for an iconic necklace (not pendant) and does not necessarily have to be from Cartier or Tiffany. TIA!
