Hi all!

We are going to St Martin in 2 weeks and I wanted to know if I can claim VAT there. I have my eye on the diamond reg size JUC and would like to purchase there if I can save money. Thanks in advance.

Just saw the location on the island is an authorized retailer for watches and not an actual boutique. Bummer!

I am quite sure the Cartier boutique was destroyed in the hurricane a few years back. I have always wondered how the people there were doing. The people at Cartier there were so sweet and kind. It was a special store.

Coming from the US, I was not charged any taxes. You do need to declare it coming back in the country.

I was there in 2013 and while I didn’t buy any Cartier, I was able to negotiate on a Chanel J12 and Gucci horsebit gold necklace. If I recall Cartier was a little cheaper and no sales tax

I didn't shop in St Martin. However, if you are able to go to St Barth's they do have a Cartier there and they are tax free, no VAT needed. I wasl just there for Valentine's and was able to get a small RG diamond love ring. You will have to claim in your home country though I'm sure.
