I'm pretty sure any item can be reproduced for a fee. They explained to me that the piece is fully melted down and recast in the size wanted so the piece is essentially brand new but you get to keep the serial number and I believe markings of the original piece.Thank you for creating a new thread. A JUC is next in line for my collection so I'm curious if this can be resized down the line like they do with the loves.
Thank you for sharing your experience. How meaningful that you were able to reproduce your dear friend’s ring so that you can honor her by wearing it.I had a panthere ring resized that I inherited from a dear friend who passed. It did take about 6 full months. I confirmed my ring size and my local store sent it to NYC I believe for a first evaluation. Within a week they called with the quote - it was definitely around 30% of the current retail value. I ok'd the quote and then it was sent off to Paris for full reproduction. I did not have to pay anything up front/deposit. About 6 months later the ring arrived at my local boutique. The entire process was seamless it just definitely takes a while!
Edited to add my ring is the panthere that doesn't fully close (the head to tail) so a full reproduction was the only option to resize.
I know, I'm really glad I did it. I love being able to wear it then it just sit in my jewelry box and it's special that it's still linked to the original serial number.Thank you for sharing your experience. I agree, having the link to the origional serial number keeps the emotional tie, while still being able to wear it with the remake to your own ring size.I know, I'm really glad I did it.
