Wondering if employees get discount on *watches*?

I am hearing mixed opinions - either they only get discount on everything but watches & they get one watch per year.

I read that it used to be an enormous discount years ago. Now, I believe they would get a discount across Richemont companies and a larger one for their own Maison (I got this info a few years back from someone who worked for another Richemont company). But, many years ago, Cartier watches were on discount regularly to the public. In fact, Cartier was included in the annual tourneau sample sale in Ny (a brand purchased by bucherer) at 60% off retail. A Cartier subforum on a watch forum might have more up to date specifics on employee discounts today

I don’t think this is correct. My friend works for a differ maison but she said she gets 70% off at at Cartier but there is a 30k limit annual one can spend on watches

According to my understanding, it's 40% off and limited to 2 watches and 2 jewelry pieces per year. Not sure about the cap of the price. New models are excluded. They would have staff sale from time to time and the discount can up to 70% off or even lower. Usually on items which are discontinued.
Do you happen to know about the exchange policy of staff purchase? I recently asked a staff to purchase a bracelet for me through a friend, I haven't got it yet as they said they are waiting for it to ship to them. But I realize I told them the wrong size. Is there any way for a staff to return the bracelet or change the size after purchase? I know that for normal purchase there is a 30-day exchange policy but since this is a staff purchase I heard the it is a bit different. Tysm!!

No exchange nor return for buying from staff discount quota. Staff would input the order at the system, it usually takes a few months for the order to be approved. If they are waiting for shipment, that means the order has been approved already.

What if they are still waiting for approval? Is is possible to cancel the order and purchase another size instead?

That sounds about right.

Items (jewellery and watches) they are allowed to buy with discount are restricted by quantity and model. It's done as an incentive for employees to wear (and showoff) Cartier pieces. However, they have to be for their own personal use, and (as @Cartier Forever mentioned) they can't resell.

The discount also sounds about right (just above cost).

Sale (70%) items are on things they can't melt or breakdown down easily (or the cost of the labour makes it non-viable).

All similar practices to other luxury brands.
