Do any of you all noticed any slight tarnishing on your Cartier earrings? I have a pair of the love studs (the pair) in yellow gold. On the back of the earring is a slight garnish as well as the back of the earring backings. The front and post of the earrings arrant tarnished at all. Just wanted to ask if this is normal or if anyone has experience it? I tried cleaning it but it hasn’t worked. I usually let them soak in hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes the wash with some dawn.

I haven’t experienced this with Cartier items, but I did buy a pair of 18k yellow gold David Yurman earrings listed in excellent condition, and they had slight tarnishing in the exact same spots you indicated. I’m wondering if those areas don’t get to breathe much because they are right up against the lobe, and are somehow reacting to heat and stress? I returned those earrings, but I was wondering if you had tried Dawn dish soap and an extra soft toothbrush to try to remove the tarnish? If that doesn’t work, I’d bring in to Cartier to see what they say.

Yes I have this on the post of my small JUC earring that I wear in my helix piercing, you can't see it when the earring is in the ear though because the tarnish is on the part that goes through the ear. It is a copper coloured tarnish
