This conversation has made me wonder after the vca drama is there any chance someone could return a fake cartier and cartier accidentally sell it ?
I noticed my hallmarks on my new small juc with diamonds are different to the love bracelet i have which is over 10 years old and different to my love cuff too ( both no diamonds though)
I wonder if the difference is a mark for diamonds ? I don't understand hallmarks and never thought to question them before when coming directly from cartier .

In theory no, however if it's just cleaned on the spot an SA may not notice it.

My only experience was when I took my Love in to be engraved. The SA checked the serial number on the system (to make sure it matched the item I assume) then sent it off to the workshop for the engraving, so I was pretty confident it was authentic.

If it helps at all, it would seem odd to me for someone to fake a bracelet and then add a jump ring with extra hallmarks, in particular official assay marks. I don't know about a Swiss marking, but for UK you'd need to send it to an assay office to have the item tested and then stamped. Given that some Cartier pieces seem to have less markings, why send it off for extra ones!
I know right! Seems too much hassle for a counterfeit. I tried researching but it seems gold hallmarks are funny mysterious, one can’t really tell nowadays. Few can be read about it, and even fewer people are talking about it so thank you so much for your inputs. 😊

So I’ve been eyeing the D’Amour bracelet for a while. I finally decided to purchase it, and decided to treat myself to the largest one - the medium D’Amour bracelet. It just arrived yesterday, and what I wasn’t expecting was for the little Cartier charm at the end of the bracelet to be the small charm that they use on the XS version! I was assuming it would be the larger one that’s on the small version 🤦🏻‍♀️ Does anyone else have the medium version with the .13ct stone? I don’t know how I feel about this haha. First world problems I guess - but I was hoping for the larger stone AND the larger charm!

I noticed that when I was buying mine and pointed it out to my SA—he was surprised too and said he’d never paid attention to it before. I ended up choosing the small size for that reason. The diamond looked tiny in both, and to me, the charm felt more decorative than the diamond, so I preferred the one with the larger charm.

I am curious if the d’amour bracelet works well with the classic love bracelet? Does it get tangled? Does it cause scratches on the love bracelet? If anyone has an experience or opinion on this, I would love to hear about it.

It does get tangled if you have the dangle. If you plan to stack it with other bracelets I suggest removing the dangle.

Has anyone compared the XS, S and L model of the D'Amour necklace with the diamond? Is the size difference that significant?
There are some good YouTube videos. I asked for the xs sight unseen and my husband said that he and my SA agreed the small is better. I insisted on the xs. Now I find that the Cartier tag at the clasp weighs more so it pulls the diamond into my neck. I’m constantly adjusting it so it doesn’t choke me. If I could do it again, small!

DH and I compared the XS and S when we were picking out a sweet sixteen gift for one of our kids. We agreed that there was a big bump in "presence" with the S compared to the XS, even if the carat weight is still pretty tiny.
