hi ladies! i was roaming around with my little price while i suddenly felt the urge to look at cartier, any thoughts on this new(to me) setting? I know there are a lot better options out there but the reason for this post is to have more information on this piece and if any of our lovely ladies would care to share their experiences with this collection.

To me the setting looks very elegant but can be worn casually as well, its not the usual 4 prong setting we see and i think this can be a stand out setting for cartier, the "C"'s on the side is a nice touch imho. but i just dont know if this is better than the classic 1895 setting that we all know and admire.

Your opinions would be great as i havent seen a thread about this new setting. thank you ladies.

sorry can't seem to find a very good picture of it. please click the links to see :p

These are super cute in person! One of my favorites. And it's nice you can still tell they're Cartier. There are new trinity ruban studs too that are similar to the e-ring. Little more flashy though if you're going for simple.

Yup thats what i thought so too, the setting maybe original to cartier other than the 1895 setting.

Love the the visible "C" from the side, but do you feel that the design takes away the solitaire look of the pendant since it has thicker prongs?

I know some prefer the bail to be smaller e.g. The tiffany setting to further complement the stone.

Ok so i finally dropped by the store and took photo of it, i should have taken a side profile, but i only got to take the tope view, silly me... :smile1:

any more opinions?
