Hi wise ones, would like to discuss some thoughts/ideas about Bvlgari Serpenti..
I've been thinking about this bracelet for a while but never actually went on to try it.
My most wearable stack right now is Cartier clash 16 + Ecrou 17 and sometimes love bracelet 17 with 4 diamonds as a divider between them but rarely.

So I went to Bvlgari today to finally try on Serpenti. I was surprised to see quite big difference between M and S sizes:

Size S was quite snug on me and it was obvious it would not work as I like my bracelets a bit loose.
The problem is that size M was too loose in my opinion. It looked larger than my Ecrou and I had difficulty seeing how it would fit into my stack.
Here are some options which I tried:

1) Serpenti at the bottom.
I thought this is the best way because I always wear Ecrou at the bottom since it runs a bit large, definitely wider than Clash.

2) Serpenti in the middle: not sure, I thought it's a bit meh because Serpenti is squashed in between the two..
3.jpeg

3) Serpenti on top: did not like very much because it needs Ecrou to be on top of Clash and that does not work very well due to sizing but maybe I am wrong?..

Just Serpenti on its own:

What do you think? Which version looks better? Or do they even look good at all?
I was also a bit disappointed how lightweight the bracelet was. I understand it needs flexibility but still... So I walked out of the store without buying and fairly sure I need some extra time to think and brainstorm...

On your stack, out of the three choices, I agree with you and prefer serpenti placement #1

I also found the serpenti viper line be a bit lightweight visually (for my personal taste), and I do not stack (I wear the larger serpenti tubogas diamonds on its own)

I do have a serpenti viper ring and it is quite sturdy, so I don’t mean to imply the viper line is flimsy

I agree with 880...placement #1. Looks fantastic!

I like #1.

Although maybe your current stack is better off with a JUC than a Serpenti.
Agree with this, and I am a Bulgari fan

@sunnylovesjewelry , there are many serpenti variations (my tubogas is a pink gold diamond head and tail iteration before the viper) the viper comes in plain metal; diamond head and tail; alternating metal and diamonds; all diamonds; and I believe some higher jewelry serpenti cuffs and encrusted necklaces.

Thank you very much for the insights. I think I had very high expectations of this bracelet, and this is why I was somewhat disappointed after my visit.

I am currently waiting for a regular JUC to arrive in my size and I think it will go with this stack much nicer. My original thought was to place Serpenti on top of the stack, not at the bottom, but sadly the sizing is neither here nor there plus the RG gold colour differs from Cartier RG even in the boutique lighting.

I think what I will do is go to another boutique to try a diamond version and see how it is going to sit on another wrist. And I think I agree it is really too busy: both Clash and Cartier are very intricate and want to shine on their own. Additional details of Serpenti make it overwhelming...

I hear you. I think you have to be sure and you have to be sold on it. Personally, when I went to try it on and see it in person, I wasn’t blown away (and I tried on the pave version too). I also had high expectations. I felt this way for both the serpenti and VCA’s vintage alhambra pendant. I’ve seen them on other people and it looks fantastic and they style it really well, but on me it looked just OK and truthfully kind of underwhelming for what I thought I was getting.

Exactly. It is so sad when everyone else looks fabulous with something and it falls flat when you try it on. The viper did not work on me, and I adore it on @Cool Breeze and other TPFers. Though it can be even worse (for the wallet) when you try something on that you assume will not work, and you find that you surprisingly really like it. (Like when I tried on a buton d’or pendant necklace below at VCA). I normally mix a PG Bulgari serpenti tubogas bracelet, serpenti viper ring with Verdura Belperron and sometimes a Foundrae necklace.
