For our summer vacation this year we wanted to try out Thailand for the first time. We started off with 4 nights in Bangkok. Since we are getting married next summer we decided to stop by Cartier on Siam Paragon to try on the Love wedding bands. Unfortunately they did not have my fiancés size. We was about to leave the store when I remembered I wanted to look at the Trinity bracelet (inspired by a thread I read in here the very same morning)

Since my birthday was coming up in less than a week I decided to get myself an early birthday present.

Later the same day I wanted to check out a couple of second hand designer stores in Bangkok. I found a beautiful vintage Santos Automatic gold/steel watch in great condition. Unfortunately it was too small for my wrist and the store did not have any extra links. I was so sad when I had to leave it behind. I've wanted a santos watch forever.

The next day my fiancé went out alone to buy something for my birthday. He had no clue what to get so he went back to the same store again. Imagine how relieved he felt when they told him that they found 2 extra links for the watch right after we left the store the day before.

AND Imagine my surprise when I unwrapped this beauty earlier today :)

After he bought the watch he stopped by Cartier just to make sure the watch was the "real deal". The SA confirmed the authenticity AND gave him this cleaning set :)
