Hello Cartier Fans,
I just experienced a rude awakening that I thought may give you some pause when working with them. I have been purchasing Cartier items on and off since the late 1990’s. Some items were purchased when I was living abroad and some in the US. In the past when I took my items in for servicing, there were never any issues. However something drastic must have changed as they are now refusing to re-rhodium a ring I purchased from them in the late 90’s. I know it’s an older style that they no longer produce, but was refused service because I no longer have my purchase receipt from over 30 years ago from a store that has since closed in Germany. I even provided them photos of other pieces purchased from there with the serial numbers and all of my contact information only to be denied. It’s incredibly frustrating and annoying. I have not only lost faith with them as a brand but feel personally insulted. So buyer beware if this is how they now conduct business. I would rather go to Tiffany’s and get decent service.
