Hi!

Has anyone been to the Cartier Boutique at terminal 2 at Charles de Gaulle Airport? I will have a 5 hour layover at the airport and was considering purchasing a bracelet. Do you know if the prices are lower for non EU citizens traveling outside Europe? Or do you have to pay full price and then claim the VAT Refund?

Thanks!

From my experience with airport boutiques, their prices typically exclude VAT, so you pay less upfront without needing to file a refund. It works out to greater savings too—while VAT refunds usually return only 8–15% depending on the country, airport prices are around 22% lower.

I did wander in about 2 years ago to check the prices on a juste in clou earrings in plain rg. They quoted me a price that was about $100 less than US retail price. I didn’t love that price enough to buy right then and there.
