Hi ladies ( gents )

I have been following you all with your Cartier love bracelets & I need one on my wrist lol

My dream would be White gold with 4 diamonds but cannot justify the cost at the moment. My husband has found a bracelet at our local auction house. It is very hard to find pre owned here in the UK.

My problem is, it is a yg size 16. Cartier tried several sizes on me & recommend a size 17. Is there much difference in the 2 sizes?

Also, all my rings etc are platinum & other bracelets silver. i have never been a huge fan of yg on me.Would this look strange? My husband suggested having it dipped in White gold. :confused1: has anyone done this or is it not recommend ?

I would really appreciate any advice or opinions .

Thank you :D

HI shb, i've just purchased YG love bracelet recently and i am not a fan of YG myself, but guess what, YG is really standing out from others.... to me at the least.... so all my other jewelries are silver tone that including my watch, which just made my Love YG bracelet so different...:yahoo: but it's all personal preference at the end....
Hope my experience helps :D

Thank you everyone, I do agree with you on the size , the auction house are happy for me to go & try it on next week so I think I might do that. As for the yg/wg mix, I have to admit, it is growing on me by the minute.

Another question, my husband travels to the States every month, could anyone recommend pre owned stores or auction houses over there?
:urock:

Hi shb, I wouldn't recommend dipping it in white gold either. It's just not the same and I don't think it would hold up very well either. As others said, try it out for size first before you commit, however I do agree that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to size down. In fact most people would size UP instead of down because of the comfort factor and the fact that the bracelet is oval shaped and not round.

Could I ask which auction house did you find the love bracelet from / which other places in UK carry pre-owned love bracelets? I've been looking around for pre-owned too but haven't had much luck. Another place you could consider is ebay, I've seen plenty of wg bracelets around. They're mostly listed in the US though but I think most can ship overseas, and you can get the lovely ladies at tpf to authenticate before you buy. If you're going to be spending this amount of money, you should really get the one that you truly love and will wear, rather than getting the alternative for the sake of getting it. Personally I'm not a fan of mixing metals, but that is just me! I would even go down as far as matching the hardware on my bags and belts to the jewelry I'm wearing...
