This is how it works
Person 1 writes a word and the 2nd person associates and word to the first word and then the 3rd to 2nd and so on.

Here's an Example
Person 1 writes Color
Person 2 associates color with something so Color-->Blue
Person 3 associates blue with something else so, blue-->sky and so on and so forth.
