I thought his bags were so cool when they first came out ... alas, my tastes changed and I left him behind, but his bags were always neat-looking and not run of the mill.

So sad. Though I never owned one of his bags, I always admired his success story from immigrant working as a busboy to establishing his own brand. In these days of monolith design empires, Carlos Falchi's story will hopefully resonate with fledgling independent designers.

R.I.P. Carlos Falchi. Your good nature and infectious exubererance will be sorely missed.

I'm sorry to hear of Carlos' passing. I owned one of his mixed media photo album books. It was so pretty and the perfect size to use as a planner. I took out the insert for photos and replaced it with a Coach calendar. I loved carry it!

I watched him on HSN and he was always warm and friendly. He was passionate about his work and thankful to those who purchased his bags and accessories.
