Workplace Career Change Recommendations

I'm currently licensed to do investments for a retail bank and the pay is nothing since this is my first year. I'm seriously considering going back to school for a Financial Analyst position if the salary is really in the 6 figures. Plus, I'm tired of having to do both banking products & investments at the same time.

First you'll have to attend a top notch MBA program to enter this industry (ie. Northwestern, UPENN, etc)

After graduating, you'd be joining at the associate level. Hours are extremely demanding!! My boyfriend is a 1st year analyst and I rarely get to see him. He works 90+ hours a week easily. The hours you work will depend on what kind of ibank you're working for - bulge bracket vs. boutique etc.

It always sound glamorous to be living the "banker" lifestyle but its a HUGE commitment.
