Hi there,
I bought thia beautiful bag. It says, that it's made of calfskin and to me it seems naturally matte. But how can I soften the leather? On the edges it seems dry.

If your calfskin bag seems dry on the edges, you can try using a leather conditioner to soften and moisturize the leather. Here are some steps you can follow:
- Clean the leather: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the leather and remove any dirt or dust.
- Apply the leather conditioner: Apply a small amount of leather conditioner onto a clean, dry cloth. Rub the conditioner onto the leather in circular motions, paying extra attention to the dry edges. Make sure to apply the conditioner evenly and avoid using too much.
- Let the conditioner absorb: Allow the leather to absorb the conditioner for at least 30 minutes. You can leave the conditioner on overnight if the leather is particularly dry.
- Buff the leather: Use a clean, dry cloth to buff the leather and remove any excess conditioner. You can also use a soft-bristled brush to gently brush the leather and restore its natural shine.
- Repeat as needed: If the leather is still dry after the first application, you can repeat the process until it softens and becomes more supple.
It's important to note that not all leather conditioners are suitable for calfskin leather, so make sure to choose a product that is specifically designed for this type of leather. Additionally, avoid exposing your calfskin bag to direct sunlight or heat, as this can cause the leather to dry out and crack.
