Hi,

I want to buy a Gucci Boston in full leather, and I think i'm going insane over the middle gucci band. I'm worried that the green/red band could get runny over time, it being a kind of fabric.

For those who have this bag, does the middle fabric green and red gucci band hold up well over the years? If it gets fluffy and runny over time, what can I put on it to prevent the fabric from getting scuffed?

I have a wallet with the classic web and been using it daily for years. It has held up really well given I throw it in my purse and don't really think about it. Upon closer inspection there could be some wear where it folds, but it's not fuzzy or worn looking.

Oh wow thanks applecidered! That's comforting to know. My tastes in bags tend to go classic so that's why I'm considering the vintage web. So happy to hear word from u about it. Thanks so much [emoji173]️ i think I'm almost a hundred percent on the boston [emoji173]️

I've 3 web bags in the same colour/cw (brown and red/green web). They are basically my travel bags, 1. from 1982, 2. 2005 and 3. 2011 and I'm even thinking about getting a new Webby (very similar to the Boston but not quite as round)

The colours shouldn't run, not even directly in the rain and I never think about cleaning especially, but I wouldn't set the bag down on the outside floor or anything. If I saw visible dirt/dust I'd make sure it was dry and gently try to loosen the dirt with a baby's toothbrush.
