I just posted this in the Coach forum, but then realized I'd probably get more input in this forum.

So, I'm thinking of getting a small wallet. I already own two wristlets and have a full size skinny wallet on the way to me which I'm excited about, but don't own any small wallets for my smaller bags. I don't care for the small fold type wallets, because I want something thin. Have been considering a card case, or preferably one of the zip card cases so I have just a little more room. Anybody who uses these types of cases, even from other brands, what are the pros and cons? Do you miss the space sometimes when using the small wallets?

I've thought about getting a Coach zip card case but haven't yet. I always use a card case, usually Coach. The one I'm currently using is the Pacman men's case. It has 6 card pockets, 2 slip pockets and an open pocket on the top, so it holds more cards than the zip card case. It is 4 x 3 inches so it fits easily in the slip pocket of most purses. I put my major credit cards, DL, health insurance card in it. I also carry a small coin pouch that has an emergency $20 besides the coins. In my long wallet I have store credit cards, coupons, and cash. If I'm carrying a small purse, I can leave out the long wallet and just carry the card case and coin pouch. This method works for me because I don't have to move items from one wallet to another. If you do that, inevitably something gets left behind.

Coach used to make a folding card case (picture attached) for outlets that held even more than my Pacman and had 2 ID windows, but still fit in the same space. I've held off on getting the zip card case because it holds less than the Pacman but is longer, possibly too long to fit in the pockets I want to use.

I got myself this Furla Babylon Card Holder for Christmas. It's skinny, the outside has 4 card slots + a long pocket and the inside can hold around 10 cards and cash. The leather is saffiano type and very durable. Plus, it comes in like a million colors so you'll be sure to find something you like!

I have a Coach card case I only use in smaller bags, but I would love one that folds over or closes, like the one Whateve shared, that's as slim. The Coach card case has a small opening in the middle where you can place a little cash or more cards if needed. Sometimes I'll place the card case inside a wristlet if I feel like it will get lost in the bag. The only reason I don't always prefer the card case is if the bag doesn't have a secure place to put it, and doesn't fully close (flap opening), then I feel a need for a wristlet or pouch to place it in.

I've had a 2 wallet set for a while now... Big one with less used cards and things and a small one that has my essential cards in. The small one fits into the big one. So I can always just quickly grab my small wallet when needed or the big one with the smaller inside when I'm travelling for instance. I'm very happy with this setup!

I have two card cases. One is YSL, and I used it with a (very small) cross body YSL bag that I have since sold. It was great because it took up barely any room. Very clean, simple design. I kept it. The second is a Chanel card case that I use in my small classic flap. It's like a beautiful piece of jewelry and I love it. I love wallets, but card cases are great space savers and grab-and-go pieces when you don't want to take a bag.

I like this! I will test it out to see if it fits well for me.

Has anyone used a lanyard case? I wonder how that might fit under clothes for times when I need to be keep my wallet close but want to feel more carefree.

I think it's a good bet. There's for example the Tory Burch Robinson Lanyard which has places for 6 cards and also a zippered coin pocket. If you carry a loose sweater or something like that, it might not show at all? Or just let it hand over your shirt, the Robinson is so pretty!
I have a TB card case for 4 cards and with a center compartment where you can hide at least a few more cards, and it has a wrist strap. I like using it a lot.

Thank you! I've been thinking a lanyard for certain events where I want to be able to put my bag down or not have to keep up with one at all might be handy.

Have you considered a small zip wallet? I have a bvlgari wallet like the photo posted above, but I think a small zip (like the zippy coin LV makes) is better suited for me. Bendels made great ones before they left us =(
