Caramel/dark beige - I’m confused!

I was shown a lamb skin mini rectangle in store today which I was told was caramel. It certainly looked like caramel as it appeared to be the same colour as my 22. However, the label said dark beige. When I questioned the SA she said that’s how Chanel mark the labels for caramel - they call it dark beige. Is this true? So does this mean in the current collection dark beige and caramel are the same? Or are they two different colours that are just incredibly similar and the SA was lying lol

I think that’s how they labeled Caramel. I got the dark beige 23P mini top handle yesterday. It looks stunning!

Thank you! I did think it wouldn’t make sense for her to lie because I loved the colour regardless! I was just confused as I know dark beige was a stand alone colour in other seasons. I might go back for it this afternoon if they still have it
