Hello TPFs. I'm tempted to buy the Capucines Compact Wallet due to several problems with my Victorine Wallet. Does anyone have a Capucines Compact Wallet? How's the wear? Any pros and cons you can share?

I'm so sorry that you had problems with your Victorine. May I ask what happened? I have the Victorine Studs. I was also looking and the Cappucines Compact wallet. It's really beautiful. Now that I have the Cappucines bag I kinda wish I had gotten the wallet back then. I guess I just thought I'd stick with canvas for a wallet. So far I haven't had any problems.

My problem with the Victorine is that the glazing would crack after a few months of use. I have the Monogram version with the Rose Ballerine interior. The pink button on the front also scratches easily. I had both the glazing and button replaced. However, it is happening again and I don't want to deal with it anymore. I also have a couple of Capucine bags and thought it's time for me to upgrade my compact wallet. I went to the store and saw both the regular version and the compact version of the Capucines wallets. Although the regular one so nice, I needed something small. I'm hoping someone has the Capucines Compact Wallet and can give me some feedback before making a purchase.

Oh no. They have such glazing problems. If I were to get another wallet I would get compact Cappucines. The regular is beautiful but very big. Good luck. I hope you find the perfect one.

I have looked at the Capu compact wallet many times and think it would be a great wallet. I chose the Mahina Iris compact wallet when I was looking - it just fits my needs better - but may add the Capu compact in the future!

When I was looking for a replacement for my old model Zippy Compact, I short listed to the Capucines Compact, Clemence, Victorine, and Iris Compact. I end up getting Clemence in Mono Fuchsia.

Capucines is an extremely well-made wallet with functional design (better than Victorine as it is about the same size but 2 more card slot) and does not have the issues Victorine has (glazing cracks etc) presumably because of better materials. The overall design is very luxurious, in fact, a bit too formal for me and some of my causal bags (tumi, longchamp). The leather is super nice to the touch both the inside and outside; the outside does not show wear much, but the inside is very soft and where the zipper hits will have multiple dents. It is still on my wishlist and if the price is going to go up, I probably will go and pick it up,
