Canvas tear??

Hi, I haven't been posting on the tpf for the longest time and wanted to ask for some advice.

I have a pallas that I noticed having some plastic coating coming off on the canvas. I tried to remove it, thinking it was some dirt. To my horror, it's actually the canvas coating and even remove the silk print of the canvas when I do that.

Texted my regular SA and she replied me that it's canvas tear. My bag is manufactured in 2015 and I realised there's canvas issue with this period? This is a defect isn't it??? Or will they deem it as canvas tear from normal use?

I checked in between the seam and noticed the coating sticking together and peeling off too!

Take it in for evaluation.

Is it possible something has been spilled on it? Hand sanitiser or something similar? If not, definitely take it in to a store and have them send it off to be looked at.

It looks like the coating it peeling, definitely take it in. This has happened with other canvas bags, LV usually takes care of it.

Thanks everyone. They said its tear and wear. They will handle it if it's within 3 years of purchase only.

It's also due to the humid weather that I live in. LV said moisture will start to trap under the coating and thus causing this over long run.
