Hello. There are a lot (more than a lot) of women here who buy and pay for our own Hermes and stuff. With our own monies.

Maybe it could be something else other than wearing H that's attracting the wrong kind of attention to you.

Most women realize Sex and the City went off the air in 2004 and was absurdly fictional.

Perhaps you have something to discuss on the Relationships forum. This doesn't sound like it's about Hermes.

I don't think you intend to make a blanket statement about women, or women in NYC, but you have to be careful to not sound offensive. I understand that you're probably speaking out of frustration, but as others have said, the Hermes thread is really not the best place to discuss this issue.

Jadeite said it so brilliantly when she suggested that maybe you're attracting the wrong kind of attention. I'm sure you've heard the saying that we get back what we put out.
In the meantime, if you have a problem with women who "don't buy their own stuff," then don't buy anything for them. Simple as that.
