Michael Kors Can't decide on Hamilton

Hi, I hope that you MK fans can help me out!

I recently bought a large Hamilton in turquoise/gold hardware. It's the saffiano leather. I bought it because it's so lovely and I already have a navy/silver large Hamilton that I use regularly.

I am worried, though, that the turquoise Hamilton might not be versatile enough for me. I really need it to be a 4 season bag - would I look goofy carrying this bag in the fall or winter? I paid more for this bag than any other in my collection (retail) and I want to make sure it works hard enough to warrant its price.

What do you think? Keep it - it will work? Return and maybe look for it on sale or the bay?

I am all about the color, so can't see how it would not work. All black outfit?, turq. is perfect. Black, white, gray, camel, taupe, brown- turq. works with all the neutrals for that "pop of color", stylist always talk about. Wearing yellow, orange, red? Again turq. works for a bright day - just keep your shoes, boots neutral. (yes I always wanted to be a stylist) and lots of gold jewelry!

I chose my very first Hamilton in turquoise for the same reasons you did. I definitely think it's a four-season color. There are some colors I don't wear it with (like my brick red leather jacket in the fall) but, otherwise, I find it to be pretty neutral. I found a great scarf with the same shade of turquoise in it and, when I throw that on with my bag and a black coat, it's such a cheerful touch during a long and dreary winter.

I see so many women carrying bags in all sorts of colors year round. But you're right that the Hamilton is an investment so, in the end, you have to be comfortable with your choice. Good luck deciding!

This right here 1000%!!! That pop of color will be complimented on more then once for sure this fall/winter. :smile1:

I use all of my colors all year long, I dont think the rules apply much anymore, even the celebrities use many colors all year. It's nice just to look at a bag you like and enjoy it and especially the bright colors in the dreary months.

I have the large Hamilton in azure (the blue one in my avatar)--I will be carrying it year round! Especially during the fall/winter as it will brighten up my normally black/gray/brown wardrobe. :smile1: That being said, if YOU love it--that's all that matters.
