Cannes or Vanity?

hey everyone!

i'm thinking about my next piece and debating between the reverse monogram cannes and the reverse monogram vanity pm? does anyone have both and have insight on which they prefer? or do you have one or the other and what are your thoughts on it?

I personally find the Cannes to have more structure than the vanity. I returned my vanity because for me it was cumbersome to get things in and out of the bag, plus it was a bit too "squishy" for me, plus it tended to "roll" when wearing on the shoulder. If I had to choose between the two, I'd prefer the Cannes.

I have both and the Cannes is easier than the double zip on the vanity. I had to take the lock off my vanity as it made it too cumbersome to open. Not having the lock on takes away some of the aesthetic of the vanity IMO. I also like the Cannes a bit more than the vanity.

I also have both but I have never used my Cannes, maybe I should use it after reading reply from @travelbliss and @himynameisalyssa.
The reason I haven’t use my Cannes is I feel it’s an odd bag, but I bought it because it’s a must have in my collection
I agree with them that the vanity zipper is not easy to open and close, you will have to put some wax to smoothen it first.

I know! Definitely pretty to look at. I love the styles and reverse monogram just not very functional to use .... We need to start using them!

I had both, and sold the Cannes on this very issue. I hate that the bag rolls around so much when I crossbody it.

larger capacity
can be worn with the top unzipped (that's how I wore mine)

vanity pm:
softer, naturally creates a horizontal line across the bag
smaller capacity, I would consider it a mini bag
strap may dig into shoulders if you often wear sleeveless clothes
strap is non adjustable and short, so it might be difficult to wear crossbody if you are taller
cannot be worn unzipped

I used the Cannes as a work bag and vanity as a weekend bag so im ok with the cons of the vanity. but the rolling of the Cannes just drives me nuts lol.
