Home & Garden Candle lovers - how do burn them?

It's getting cold again and I just made a pretty big order of 100% pure beeswax candle from etsy :happydance: I've been burning jar candles in the past, but not mold/poured type of candle, how do you burn it? I was hoping to find a hurricane chimney and place it on a cake stand to burn the candles, but all I can find is hurricane glass that's attached to the base  Ladies at Pier1 import told me candles in hurricane jars are for decor, and buy jar candle to burn instead?? My place is pretty drafty, so burning it on a plate is out of question. Here are some pictures of the ones I picked up.

The rum bottle is a big guy - 10 3/8" T - 3 3/4" W. Another bottle I picked up is medium lime bottle (7 1/8 T x 1 1/8 W), the tallest one.

Did you look at Pottery Barn? Crate and Barrel? Cost Plus World Market? Bed Bath and Beyond?

I love the Pottery Barn lanterns. They are pricey....

I just put my candles on a stand or plate in a safe place. I don't worry about a draft.

Love your candles!

thank you! I went to Crate & Barrel, kirkland homes, BB&B, Pier1 Imports, Marshalls, and TJ Max today. World Market is about 90 min drive one way so I think it is out of the question

Here are some links to try. Some are one piece, some come apart, I think. I didn't check the sizes. A lantern could be cute.

:hugs: Appreciate all the links! I really want to get everything ready and start burning the candle as soon as it arrives, but the smart thing to do is to wait til I see them IRL then shop for it.

Do you have a Hobby Lobby or Michael's?

Most of my candles are just in votives or other small jars. Jelly jars work as do Mason or Ball canning jars.

I have several Hurricane style lamps that burn lamp oils instead of candles.

Yes, I have Michaels here. Haven't thought about checking out that store, thanks for the tip!

To be honest, I already have some buyer's remorse on the order :sweatdrop: I agree jar candle are the best, and I love to see the wax pool. But it cracked on me once, even though there was no leaking but it still scared me. I spend hundreds of moolas on those poured beeswax candle, but will probably convert back to jar candle once I'm done w/it.

Running wax is why I try to keep something at the bottom that will contain it.

I've yet to have any kind of upright bulk candle that didn't leak though from at least one side.

true, but I got suckered into this picture when it was snowing few weeks ago ^^; Hence this post of seeking a good removeable hurricane candle holder, so i can collect the spill and recycle into jar candle
