Can you return an online purchase from Bergdorf Goodman to a NM store?

I didn't know where else to ask this question on here. There is a peacoat I want on sale on BG's website and the NM near me was sold out of my size. If I decided I wanted to return it though, could I bring it to the NM store? I was planning to use my NM card. It doesn't say anything about that on the website. Anyone know?

No you Cannot according to the Customer Service Desk at the Neimans in Short Hills, NJ.

You definitely cannot return to a NM. I've had to ship things that I've purchased from Bergdorf's (both the store and online) back to them. If you purchase from the store, there is dedicated address for returns that is not the store address.

First of all, you cannot return because this are two different stores. Usually stores take back items from thesamestore.com, but WHY should they take return from other stores??

^NM and Bergdorf are owned by the same corporation. You can use your NM card at Bergdorfs and your Bergdorf card at NM!

Just found out some info. I spoke to someone at BG and yes you can return an item from BG website to a Neimans store

Doens't matter. TJMaxx and Marshalls are the parts of the same corporation and use the same credit card, but you cannot return merchandise in other store. The same story about Macy's and Bloomingdales. Just because you can't, store are independent. They have different merchandise stock-tacking, different ECU codes etc.

I have returned BG stuff to the NM in Newport...never been a problem.

Sure, if they sell the same merchandise. If not, they just say you "Sorry".

You can't return purchases from BG brick-and-mortar, but you can return anything from either NM or BG websites, b/c they are from the exact same warehouse and sell the same items (well, BG has a smaller selection).

laureen, you are right. I buy from BG online alot, and I always return at NM customer service.

I recently tried to return something I bought from bg.com to my local NM in Palo Alto, CA and they wouldn't take it, I had to mail it back! The customer service guy called bg.com and the rep said I would have to mail it back, apparently they are cracking down now and not allowing you to return at local NMs anymore.
