I'm talking to a private seller to buy a pre-loved gucci marmont and they sent me a bunch of pictures of it. I noticed it seems a little out of shape and asked to see side and bottom pictures for wear, which they did and I've attached one of them:

I really don't like the look of bags when they are flattened out like this and I'm wondering if it's something that can be fixed by stuffing or steaming it. Has this eventually happened to your marmont bags and were you able to fix it, or is that just the nature of the bag?

If the bag is going to be all bent out of shape like that, I might have to move onto a different style.

You can get a bag shaper/base for these bags maybe it will help a little to form the shape. The leather is kinda soft and the bag is not really structured but maybe an insert will help.

I have the mini marmont flap and mine kept it’s shape, but I always stuff it with tissue paper when I’m not using it.

I just ordered the Gucci Marmont Camera Bag and I will be ordering a purse organizer to keep its shape! I found one on Etsy.com. I think Amazon and EBay should have them too. It will also help protecting the inside of bag.

The corners of the bags in the Marmont line are all soft and rather flexible. You can use a bag organiser and it will keep the shape rather well, but without an organiser, you would probably not notice this structural loss much at all since your items inside the bag would fill it out.

An issue I've found with my small marmont is that the flap itself is bent where it curves shut. So when the flap is closed, it does not maintain an upside down U shape (if looked from the side) and instead it's an upside down V.

I hope that made sense. I'm not very good at describing things lol

Does anyone else have this issue with the flap? And is there a remedy? I'm thinking of opening the flap and placing a book on the flap In the hopes of straightening it out.

That just happens naturally with the weight of the bag, you can try to not put as much inside the bag, but I'd say that just part of the natural wear and tear - my velvet Marmont has it too.
