Please help, I have been searching for a full eternity ring and have found a vintage style one I really love. My engagement ring is a round diamond flanked by two pears and is modern & simple in style. The eternity ring I like has round diamonds & each is surrounded by small raised dots (sorry for my desciption, I can't post a pic because the ring is in a small independant jewellers). I tried them on together but am so unsure. I really adore the eternity ring, it's very pretty and I haven't seen one I like as much. Do engagement & eternity rings have to match in style? I only want to wear the two together, not with a wedding ring. Thanks.

Oh thankyou, that's good to hear because I really love both rings. I was going to get a channel set ring (they are very nice) but it didn't really grab me. Has anyone else mixed styles with their rings?

Check this out, obviously most of them were meant to mix/match, but I just wanted to show that if you have a channel set princess band, you're not necessarily stuck w/ channel set princesses forever.
The one on a person is Kate Beckinsale's I believe, LOVE that!

I love those rings, especially the pink ones...may I ask what site they are from? (I would love to order some).
Thank you so much!

I would need to see pics to have a definitive answer, but from the way you spoke of the vintage ring, it sounds like you ADORE:heart: it.

I think mixing and matching old & new is fantastic! I do it all of the time with my accessories, purses, and jewelry. While wedding rings are in another ballgame, I would say go for it! I bet the uniqueness of the vintage would look so outstanding next to the simplicity of the modern. Eye-catching combinations are always the best! :okay:

Oh yea - and as to whether or not engagement rings and eternity rings have to match, there are no rules. While some would say yes, I would think not. After all, I'll bet the point in your relationship when you got engaged does not match the point in your relationship when you receive an eternity ring.

Wow those rings are beautiful. Love Kate beckinsales stack. Now just need to entice DH into jewellery store. Do you think this vintage style setting is a new trend? Has anyone got a ring with this style of setting? Ok just looked at 23rdstreetjewelers.com website and on page 2, bottom right, bottom ring is exactly the ring I'm talking about (amazing because I'm in London). Barcreparie thanks for link what amazing rings, would love to visit that jewellers one day.
