Can you get items bought from grey market being serviced at the boutique ?

I know certain items like cartier jewelries , all of van cleef lines , and bags like louis vuitton and chanel only sell their products at the boutique and that's it. So their numbers are all registered in the system and I assume they also know when and where it's purchased in a system.





It makes me wonder what happens if you purchase item from grey market like jomashop ??? These stores sell brand new unused, usually ones that were overstocked so they buy then in bulk and sell them to retailers for cheap .....



If I buy something from said bvlgari item from jomashop (they don't provide certificate) , it will NOt be registered on bvlgari database as who purchased it cuz it's sold I'm grey market



Do they still service it??? Or do they only have re ords of authenticity and not beyond who

They service it but you pay.

Sure! They don’t know if it was a gift, passed down, etc…

I’d check with the brand directly. I believe Cartier and Tiffany will service—I’ve never been asked for an authenticity certificate at either. My Tiffany item was a gift and definitely not registered to me in their system. Graff, however, might refuse service if you can’t provide proof of purchase or reference, like the name of the person who gifted it, if it was registered under their name. You can just call bvlgari customer service and inquire how to go about servicing a gift.

I have had more than one secondhand Tiffany engagement and wedding band sized by them and never asked for proof of purchase. They sized the engagement ring free of charge.
