Can I turn a Tiffany bracelet into a necklace?

I think they would probably just charge you the cost for a sterling chain and the labour. your best bet would be to call customer service and they can give you an approximate or definitive answer for the cost.

They might say that it changes the design of the piece, but hopefully they will just be willing to make some money off of you selling you some links and labor to put it together. Do you know if they have a necklace similar to the bracelet? If so, you really should not have any problems. Also, if one of their people in the repair area says no do not be afraid to try again on another day with another person. New York usually makes the final call anyway. It might be worth it to call them direct and ask before you go to the store. Anyway, good luck and please keep us posted :)

Do you want to take the charm off and put it on a necklace? That would be really really easy for a jeweler to do, and it would be pretty cheap (probably mostly the cost of the chain, ~$20 for a sterling chain). Tiffany would either probably refuse to do this, or it would be ridiculously expensive (their plain sterling chains are marked up sooo high).

I too would get them to take the charm off and put a jump ring on it and buying an SS chain (tiffany's or from your local jeweler's) to put it on! It's prob alot cheaper than lengthening the the bracelet to make a necklace! Good luck and let us know!

Tiffany does sell a necklace like the bracelet so I figured it wouldn't be a big issue. Maybe I'll just have them take it off the bracelet and then I can interchange it between a charm on my charm bracelet or wear it on a ss chain for a necklace. I have a ss chain from tiffany that another one of my necklaces is on, is it better to buy a new chain specifically for the star charm or just interchange it with what I have on the other necklace?

if you have another silver chain and the charm is removable from the bracelet; then I would just switch them up whenever you prefer a necklace or bracelet!
