Can I return/exchange merchandise at a different location?

Hello Everyone!
I haven't posted in so long... I was wondering if any of you have ever been able to return/exchange merchandise at a location different than the boutique the merchandise was originally purchased at? Specifically,
has anyone been able to get an exchange at the boutique at Holt Renfrew on Bloor if they've purchased from the main boutique on Bloor in Toronto?

i've tried that in a Paris boutique. i bought my purse in NY and tried to exchange it in a different style in Paris. they allowed me to exchange provided i have the receipt and made me paid for the currency difference since the euro is higher than dollar.

Hello,
I went to Hong Kong for a holiday trip in late September and bought a necklace at the Chanel Tsim Tsa Tsui store and the next day when I went to the Chanel Pacific Centre, I saw a beautiful bag that I just had to have so I returned the necklace and added money to get the bag and the SA was more than happy to accept the exchange. Hope that helps!
