Hi All

what is the consensus on hubby being able to open a separate account (different store) but still within the US and same shipping address? The information seems conflicting. Some have said you can open 2 separate accounts and it’s fine (Ie hubby can have his own account and be offered 2 quota bags a year/determined on spending of course, and it won’t affect your 2 quota bags as your profile would still be considered separate.)

Others have said, it’s one account per mailing address or it affects your quota bag.

Does anyone have any experience in have 2 accounts in the US and how it works ?

thanks

I believe Hermes is really starting to crack down on this and even merge family accounts on the same address. Unless you’re prepared to spend $100k+ annually per account to make it worth their while to ”look the other way”, and reliably maxing out your 2 bags per year quota on your first account to begin with, it’s probably not worth the risk.

A few years ago, my SA and SM advised that we should have two separate accounts. They both have the same mailing address. They both have the same credit card, too. It allowed me to be offered up to 4 quota bags per year. This was all pre-Covid.

Nowadays, we still have the separate accounts, but naturally I’m now getting the two offers a year (as if we are being recognized as a single household)..... but my bag buying is almost done so it doesn’t bother me.

So my DH has his own account. Granted most of the shopping is done on my account, but he will go in on his own on occasion and make purchases or we will split them if we go in together and buy multiple items. My SA encouraged us to have separate accounts a while back and my understanding is that we can get 2 quota offers each. When I placed my SO a couple of weeks ago, my SA said I shouldn't worry about maxxing out quota bag offers since we have DH's account to play with as well. So I guess will all things H, it depends??

My DH has his own account so he can buy and pick up himself including his own personal purchases. But it’s one quota bag a household here so he’s not expecting or getting quota offers and we aren’t using different addresses even though we have more than one home.

DH and I have separate accounts. It's never been an issue and we've both bought under our individual accounts as recently as this week. Seems crazy to me to merge two individuals.
Of course SAs and SMs are aware who's who and this affects SOs and to some extent offers for Birkins and Kellys.

This is where I don’t get it either. What if an adult family member/relative (whether it be adult daughter, sister, mom, husband, etc.) live at same house and so we have the same address. What happens if we are all H lovers and each want our maximum quota bag(s) per year?

I wonder about this as well. There is also so much potential for offending the customers.

I might be answering my own question but would each H lover household member start using the second, third addresses (ex. vacation address, investment address, etc.)
Guess a good number of customers are doing that already, especially when wanting to maximize quota.

DH has his own account at FSH. He buys his own cashmeres, bags etc and his Horizon was under his own account. We buy gifts for each other under our own accounts. SA is holding a surprise for him under my account which I don’t want him to find out about. This separate account thing was arranged at the store and not by us.

DH and I have separate accounts cos I shop locally and he shops (for me) in another state when he/we travel there. We have the same address. No problem so far, but I never maximized the 2 bags/year/person either. We made it that way per the out-of-state SA’s advice. In that way I’m still loyal to my local store. I actually get harder to come by items easier from his SA, like mini L, Evelyne tpm, KTG. It’s a smaller boutique compared to my local one (SF).
