I have a pair of gold CC studs with crystals, and the post has come off one of the earrings. I've asked around jewellers in my area but no one wants to touch it because it's costume jewellery and they're concerned that when they solder the post back on, it will compromise the bond on the crystals. Has anyone found a work-around to this? I really love the earrings and the price has just gone up soooo much since I bought them 10+ years ago, so I'd really love to be able to save them.

Do you have a good SA? Ask him/ her to help you repair it at Chanel.
I have a similar situation, but when I went to Costa Mesa, the store was so busy with sales, no one wanted to help me. And for the past 10 years, I do not have a steady SA I work with.
But I can tell you from experience, 15 years ago, some gemstone pieces fell off from my Chanel necklace, and the SA (we were very close) just took it to the back and it was fixed while I shopped.
Let me know how things go.
I called Chanel and they said they would have to send them back to France for repair and it would cost $200. I just feel like there has to be another option
