Tech Can anyone tell me how to reduce photo file sizes on a mac?

I've been trying to reduce the jpg file size of my photos so that I can put some onto the threads but I can't find out how to do it.

My photo file sizes are larger than the maximum allowed on the forum.

I've tried cropping the photos but it doesn't make the kb size any smaller.

Please help.

cropping them should make them smaller unless you're doing it by tiny amounts. if you don't have photoshop you can import them into iphoto and then go to export them and enter a smaller size. you can also upload them at photobucket.com, imageshack.us or tinypic.com to name a few and then paste the img code into your message here instead.
