Hello All,
I’m hoping for another color confirmation…is this Bristol fuchsia?View attachment 6013560
Thank you, any help is appreciated. I don’t have the registration card to confirm. I was told Fuchsia by the seller…but I guess it could be magenta or hot pink also🫣View attachment 6013561
Your first picture looks like viotet. A rare and beautiful Florentine color from
the old days. The second pnoto could be any of the other colors....hot pink,
fuchsia or raspberry. But more likely raspberry or fuchsia. And since it's the
same bag.... I can't figure it out based on the pictures. Sorry.
Dooneys color shades are often almost identical, just differing in
undertone.

Thanks for the reply. I’m between two colors, violet or fuchsia. I ordered a fuchsia wallet, so fingers crossed☺️

Hello lovely members of the purseforum!

Has anyone ever come across the following style? The screenshot in the first photo and specifically the bag on the left, shows a tag that says "Medium Shoulder Tassle Bag". The bag on the right of said screenshot looks the same designwise, just the color looks a bit different.

The real question is about the bag in the second photo, though. It looks like it belongs into the same style category as the first two bags with just a different size, maybe "Small Shoulder Tassle Bag"? Would appreciate the help identifying it.

Update, the wallet I ordered in fuchsia doesn’t match. Next to each other the bag is definitely more purple. I believe it’s violet. Thanks for the help!

Sorry they didn't match. Both violet and fuchsia are beautiful..
You need to decide if an exact match is important to you.
Years ago, I wanted everything to match perfectly, now
I can see the beauty in similar shades of colors.

Greetings D&Bers. I'm new to this brand and do not know D&B at all.

I ran into 2 bags at a garage sale yesterday and bought them both (each for $15). Can you help me identify them?

I'll start with the first. It's obviously an AWL bucket bag, but when looking online, I've seen 2.0 and 3.0, and I have no idea what that is in reference to. Also, there seem to be different versions of bucket bags, so I'm wondering this gal's name.

It appears that there was a tag inside, maybe, that has been removed. There is no other sewn in tag.

And the second bag I found is a mono nylon open tote with a blue duck charm. It is 100% not my style, but I was so drawn to how light and durable it feels. I tend to turn my nose up at bags made in China (it is a K serial number), but this feels like such a nice sturdy bag. It's clearly been used, but the nylon looks great.

What's up with D&B? I think these bags are great quality. How did I never notice them before?

Welcome to the Dooney forum. I hope you enjoy your new (to your) Dooney handbags. In general, Dooney is a high quality brand with good materials and good construction.
Like all brands, they have multiple line/collections which cater to different styles and
price points. The AWL, Florentine, and Alto collections are the top at Dooney and all are excellent in terms of material, constructions, and design.

Dooney AWL (All Weather Leather) collection was one of their first. The original AWL was
very thick and the pebbling resulted from the manufacturing process that shrunk the
leather making it very dense and durable. The bags were unlined and the style often
equestrian reflecting the heritage of the brand. The bags were made in Norwalk CT
at the Dooney location. It was a very high quality collection and known for the fact
that the leather would repel water (like water on a duck's back). Many of the older
bags are still available on the resale market.

Over the years Dooney has released the AWL 2 and AWL 3 collections.
Successive collections changed the styles, added lining to the bags and also
changed the leather. Customers wanted lighter weight handbags and Dooney
found other ways of processing the leather. I'm not familiar with the AWL 2
and AWL 3 collections. I don't know if they have the same water resistance
characteristics as the original AWL.

I also add that Dooney does an excellent nylon collection.
I prefer leather handbags, OK, I'm a leather snob. But over the
years I've added quite a few Dooney nylon handbags to my collection
because they are lighter weight. I've found the construction to be excellent,
the nylon to be strong and durable, and the leather trim to be on par with
leather handbags. And in the darker or neutral colors, I think the Dooney
nylon handbags look quite nice. (Told you I'm a leather snob).

Thanks! So does the leather bucket bag look like the original AWL? It is thick and chewy. Suede interior. Does it have a name?

I need to figure out if I want to keep the nylon because I am also a leather snob! I don’t understand the shape, I don’t love the momo, but the construction really appeals to me! It would have been a great diaper bag, but those days are long gone!

Of course it's your choice. And logo bags are either something you like or don't.
Depending upon where you live, logo bags are sometimes very common....
authentic ones and copies of designer bags. Dooney is a north east US company....
I think their logo is more popular in this part of the country. or in areas where stores
carry Dooney handbags.... and these days there are fewer brick and mortar
Dooney shopping places.

Personally, if you think the nylon bag would be useful, on some occasions, for what
you paid, since you do like it enough.... you could keep it to use from time to time....
as a tote, when shopping, if you have to take papers or a book to a meeting, etc.
Not every handbag needs to be worn everyday. That's when they come in
all different styles and sizes and we collect them. 😁😁😁

Hello all... I have looked on the preloved market and everyone that has it lists it as a denim hobo bag or y2k denim shoulder bag or something else. Anyone know the exact name and price when it came out? many thanks!
